Sell it. It won't do anything beneficial.

Put the OE unit back on and see if the issue goes away.

If not, you likely have a coincidental problem.

BTW, you won't find many recommendations for K&N anything around here, nor find a value/$ reward for CAIs.

Plus most people on here will agree that the stock intake is an actual "cold air intake" because it gets air from near the bumper. All that k&n "cold air intake" does is place the filter in the hot engine bay and make a bit more noise not worth the money

Last time I put one of those intakes on a truck, I didnt look inside the plastic tube. They factory put a K&N sticker inside it. It got sucked into the throttle body when I stared the truck.... Sticker removed, problem solved.

I did an air temp A/B comparison of both K&N and factory intakes in my 2017. No discernable difference when moving, they are both luke warm. When idling, the K&N air is hotter, but that doesnt really matter....

Check your air flow sensor. If thats not plugged in the truck will shut off.

Just stick with stock, I saw some thread where I guy put on some aftermarket air intake bullshit and it ended up letting particles through and ruining his engine.
