K&N filter cleaner

Does anybody in here running a k&n filter in their trucks have any other ways cleaning them without paying for the overpriced cleaner spray offered by k&n I was wondering if simple green, oxy clean or any household degreaser product would work? What do u guys use?

 

I have access to the proper cleaner but always found myself just using a standard degreaser and some gentle water pressure.

The oil however, I use the real K&N stuff, I have yet to find an affordable alternative thats readily available.

 

There's numerous videos on YT on K&N air filter cleaner alternatives. I never cared to try any of them though.

 

I always just use the K&E cleaner

 

The k&n cleaner really does work like a charm. Buy the big bottle reduces the cost per ounce.
Litterly makes the cleaning zero effort.
