Hi all, don't know too much about truck's/mechanics and was wondering how difficult it would be to put on a k & n air intake myself. I'm a woodworker/firefighter by trade, and figure it wouldn't be that tough to do. What say you guy's.....

They are very easy to install. But around here the oil less air filters are more popular. The K&N is an oil filter, and some like them some don't.

Cool. I got a killer deal on it new, my buddy told me to swap out the oil filter with an AFE Pro dry for when I'm on the sand and dust?

I might be a little late on this but here it goes.........I'm not, in any way, a mechanic. But i thought installing mine was quite simple. took about an hour (it would probably take me 20 minutes now that i've done it). Looks good and sounds GREAT! especially if you wan a little extra growl to a "growless" stock taco. Check out amazon.com for a great deal on 'em.

Put the pro dry filter on and never look back. The actual install will go smoothly, just take your time. Be very careful how you handle the MAF sensor, do not finger it up.
