K&n intake system

    Suppose to come from the wheel well. But since K&N just throws the filter in the engine bay you won't be getting much cool air.

    the TRD exhaust i have doesn't have a separate tube coming out of the air box. is it suppose to have one running to the fender well!!!!

    We are talking about cool air coming from the fender well into the intake system. Where did you get the exhaust to air box notion from?

    sorry i meant intake, so if there is no way for the cool air running from the fender well into the TRD box, where does the cool air come from?

    There is an opening in the side of the airbox that matches up to the hole in the fender.

    i didn't buy either of them, they were samples from K&N. but since the TRD one had no opening i went with the K&N because with it being open it still got air from the fender well.

    since there was no opening i left the top plate off the TRD air box

    it has an opening that sucks from the fender, thats what makes it a cai, the k&n is not a cai because it does not suck from the fender, it sucks the hot air from the engine bay.
