I've used K&N for over 20 years, never had an issue.
I live in phx so it's mostly city driving but we get good dust storms in the summer and i occasionally get out on the dirt roads for camping during the summer.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Send it to me...I'll pay the shipping. Having an extra oiled up and ready to go would be handy.

I've ran both. I noticed the K&N oil does dry out quick in hot summer weather, but I kept it cleaned and oiled frequently. Last year I swapped back to the oem paper filter for simplicity.

Oem filter is the best option . These k&n filters are just a waste of money and potentially can cause damage to the mass air flow sensor .you are not going to see any gains in performance using the aftermarket ones . Just stick with what Toyota designed the truck with .

I believe the TRD oil filter is made by AFE as I know they source this stuff out. I have both, the original paper filter and the oiled filter that came with the TRD CAI. The only difference I noticed is the TRD filter made the truck sound a little deeper and not any performance gains. I do run both and looking at ordering an AFE dry washable filter.
