    Another long weekend with the gate closed. Anyone been out west side? Maybe on the way to peacock flats or something? Site says beach open but gates closed out west but all the parking is inside the gate. Is everyone just getting dropped of outside the gate or are they allowing parking along the main road? Months ago when I went there was construction crew parking only along the main road wondering if anything changed

    Aloha - Is it safe to stay past the gate overnight with one truck and 2-3 people? I wouldnʻt have a problem doing it back home on Maui, but Oʻahu get plenty chronics...

    Drive in a little bit you should be ok. Most people staying overnight are other fishermen. From what I’ve seen, chronics usually hang out outside the gate. Plenty activity on Farrington Highway as you probably know.
