    Hey Kyle,
Any chance you’ve got a link to that install video you mention for the CBI skid install?

Also, I’m assuming you have to remove the factory tow hitch?

Thanks bro! Yea I noticed yours was missing and wasn’t sure if removal was mandatory. I just finished putting the final coat of enamel on mine. Hope to get them mounted in the next week or so.

    Hey Kyle,
Sorry to keep bothering you man, but one more question for you about the CBI skids. I pulled out the hardware bag that came with my skids yesterday to go over everything as I planned to put them on this weekend.

I could be wrong, but I think I’m missing some parts. Specifically nuts and probably washers. This is everything I received. Does this look right, or at least similar to what you got?

Also, I seem to have locked myself out of my gmail account and the tech support says I'll get a response in 3-5 business days. Any way to view the install video other than via the google drive link you posted?

I suppose you could always just create a new account and log in through it via a different browser to keep logins separate.

Square washers are used for the long bolts. They go on the top side after you slide them up and in, and the washers go against the top side of the crossmember.

The smaller bolts are used on the rear crossmember skid to bolt it up. Same concept with the small circular washers, I believe.

From that pic, you’re missing eight nuts. The washer count is good (I remember there only being one large circular washer). I’m assuming the bolts for your oil access panels are still in the front skid.

I’d call CBI on Monday and they’ll send you a parts bag out via priority. I talked to Kenny in sales when I needed a new bag and he also emailed me that install video link as well.

Thanks man. I figured as much regarding the nuts.

I’m sure I could easily, and inexpensively go to HD and pick up the missing hardware. But honestly is the principle of the situation that annoys me. You pay a good chunk of money for a product, with very long lead times mind you, and they don’t even get the hardware package right?!? Seems pretty bush league to me.

Maybe they could put the link to the install on their website. That’d be a novel concept.

My bag was actually ripped open, so maybe we just got bad luck.

I checked the videos. The large washer goes on the inside of the rear crossmember on the passenger side, and then a washer and bolt on in the little access panel on the back side.

I don’t have a hard count, but you may be missing a small circular washer or two as well. I don’t remember having an odd number of small washers, but I could be wrong.

lol .. it would make sense. At least they have videos .. my bumper came in and basically had instructions that said ‘cut here,’ and then it rubs on flex where it’s not supposed to rub.

Thanks man. Yea I’ve emailed both the vendor I ordered through as well as CBI directly. My hardware package was still intact upon delivery.

Your bag is different. Both times, mine wasn’t separated out, which makes me think the vendor repackaged yours.

I’d call CBI on Monday. I emailed them once long ago and it took them a while to get back to me via email. Phone call was immediate and Kenny had me a tracking number within the hour for my new hardware pack.

Currently stuck between new leafs or tires. Likely going with 285/75/16 Cooper XLTs if so.

Did you add more weight to your truck? Is that why you're looking at new leafs?
With your weather, I would look into Falken AT3W over Cooper XLT, or even Mickey Thompson ATZ P3?!?
