Hey man. I’m from bridgeport WV about 30 mins south of Morgantown. Lot of cool county roads mostly east of fairmont if you haven’t explored them yet. Some cool stuff over by Davis/Thomas too.

Definitely familiar with area. Have friends that live off Pritchett’s Fork and I take 79/50 to visit my parents back in Tyler County. Haven’t been there in years tho!

We haven’t been down to Davis/Thomas yet, but she’s talked it up a lot regarding things to do there (purple fiddle, stump town, etc). We’ll probably be heading down in a month during her birthday.

For sure! Davis/Thomas is probably our favorite area within an hour and half. Stump town beer is incredible.... and hellbender burritos is just as good. You should make a day out of it... go check out Olsen fire tower then take 18 over to Douglas falls and end in Thomas. Tip Top has the best coffee in the state! Lot of fun roads to explore over there.. one of my favorites is canaan loop rd past the blackwater lodge. East of fairmont river run rd is kinda cool.. cross 2 creeks and a nice trail out to the main rd. Same with mud lick run rd aka 13 creek rd. Very easy going but fun to do some small water crossings.

Some guys in the WV thread said Canaan Loop is pretty overgrown right now, but a little polish can fix a trip through there.

She’s talked about those burritos for a while too! It sounds like a great trip. Well be spending the weekend there when we do go.. prob have her take off a Friday so we can go down in the afternoon and then stay until Sunday evening.

If you’re ever up for beer, I go up to Pittsburgh breweries every now and then. It’s a touch more expensive because they’re smaller scale (only sell cans and growlers, no distribution), but it’s great stuff and we make a day of it in the city. I went up myself last weekend can came back with a haul from Grist House and Dancing Gnome. Need to check out a few others there still.

Grist house and dancing gnome are fantastic! Some get a little too hazey/juice bomb for me from those breweries but for the most part they are awesome. Next time you’re up there check out insurrection in Heidelburg.. its on the same level as the two you mentioned. Going to Pittsburgh tomorrow actually for the auto show. I still have some pinstripes from the last time i did Canaan. I’m due for a paint correction anyway so who cares haha. I wouldn’t mind going through and helping to open it up again if that’s allowed.

285/75/16 Cooper AT3 XLTs arrive tomorrow and I’ll have them on Wednesday most likely.

Gonna be a little quieter in the cab.. hopefully.

Been eyeing S/T Maxx for a while, but decided to go with their XLT based on reviews. Coming from a hybrid AT so I’m interested in how these will ride and handle in the snow with the extra traction.
