There is a shop near my house that can assemble the struts for you and take apart your old ones as well. I have some stock springs you could have for cheap if you wanted to buy new top hats. That way the install is real easy and painless. I can help with the install, I have installed two different lifts on my truck alone and a few others on other tacoma's just let me know when you get all the parts.

Hey it might just be you and me and one other guy but that's all right.

What OME lift are you talking about? If I just wanted to level out my truck (0" in rear, about 1" in the front) isn't the 5100 series (or the new 6112) my best bet? The Icon Stage I would be nice, but the price is getting up there.

Where is this shop located at and what would the price be for them to just replace my stock shocks with the 5100's? Or is it easier to take the stock shocks off and have someone compress onto the new one and install myself?

I did it myself, I just took my stock stuff and had them compress the spring and swap the top hats over. They only charged me $25 but I paid the kid $40 who did it because he did it right the first time and quick. The rear is only a nut and bolt of you are just doing shocks. The front is really easy but you need someone to pry on the control arm to get the strut in there. It's a 2 hour job for everything.

And it's called Sallas auto repair

Awesome that's not bad at all! I live in Olathe but wouldn't mind driving out that way if you know someone who can do it right and for that price. I just ordered the front 5100's for now just to level the truck, so it shouldn't be too hard.

I got lucky and they had free time when I brought them my parts. So by the time I went to the ATM and got cash they where done with them. I would maybe call ahead because it would suck if you have it all apart and can't get it done right away.

What's up guys (Kc taco 12) you can also go to autozone and rent the tools to do it or if you know anyone going to jccc in the auto tech they can do it for free

I don't known if i would trust the autozone spring compressor. The stock springs are pretty stout and I have witnessed first hand what happens when those autozone compressors fail..... I had a friend get knocked out by a spring because the autozone compressor failed. For 25 bucks I would let that shop do it for me.

Can one of the stockers in the group take 2 measurements for me? I'm trying to decide how much lift I have really gained on my truck. Can someone provide the dimension from the center of your wheel/hub to the bottom of the fender, both front and rear? Locations shown in the pic...

    Thanks in advance guys!

Scott measured his truck before we started putting my old lift on his truck. But I can't remember what it was. I was so excited to install my OME suspension and new leaf packs I forgot to measure before I started

    Great photo.

What size wheels / tires is everyone running with the OME lift?

I just purchased an OME lift (without spacers). I have a 2010 quad cab. Will take some measurements and post the before installation. Waiting for my new bumper to arrive before installing.

I have no wheel or suspension spacers and I am running the stock 16in steel wheels with 265/75 maxxis big horn mud terrain tires. For suspension I have the complete OME kit with 885 coils in the front and Dakar leaf packs in the back. I have the trim packer in the driver side to correct the lean.

My ride height from the hub to bottom of the fender is

    Drivers front- 23.25in Pass front-23.25in
    Driver rear- 24.5in Pass rear-24.5in

It sits perfect and I am glad I put the trim packer in to correct the front from leaning on the driver side.

I have a topper and roof rack on the truck at all times so I am sure if I didn't have those it would be a little higher in the rear.

Also this is on a 12 regular cab 4cyl 4x4

What is the trim packer? Will I need it if I am just installing front shocks for leveling? Because I feel like my stock taco has some driver lean..

The shocks will raise it but it will still lean, it's because you have the battery driver and gas tank on the drivers side. The trim packet goes under the spring perch of your new front struts in the driver side. Or I think they make one for the top of the strut.

I'm running 285/75/16 on older stock steel wheels, they are Bfg all terrain. Rubs in full lock in reverse.
