I've seen it up in here. That doesn't mean it stopped being the harsh truth.

To be honest, all the original generations of the FJ, Willys, Bronco, etc., kind of looked the same.

Also that dealership overprices everything and will tell you that a plastidipped plastic bumper is "off road rated" and just make other shit up.

Well, there's only so much you can do stylistically with a box on two axles. I think there are enough differences to tell them apart, but if you squint....

To your point, the original prototype Land Rover Series 1 was built on a surplus Willys MB frame. And yeah, the first Land Cruiser:

I think they were so invested in the form-follows-function school of thought that obvious designs were just expected.

Novelty is ruining the automotive industry.

Now if we get a modern Scout with a SFA setup, then I'll throw a party.

Damn, do I love Scouts. Friend of mine has a '74 with the AMC 258 I6. I was also looking for one fairly seriously before getting the YJ. Short of it: Scouts are expensive and come with factory rust, Jeeps are cheaper and easier to find parts.

    Bored so meh

still waiting on coilovers for my truck it might be another 4 weeks from now :annoyed:

but hey I fixed my bumper by buying a new lower grill and then using actual bolts on the lip this time that bitch ain’t going nowhere unless something hits it and shatters it :anonymous:

my red coupe project I’ve ordered more stuff because more stuff was broken lol
    -motor mounts
-Tie rods both sides inner and outer
    -tires
-99-2000 fog lights (will be using them for intake vents not actual fog lights)
And that’s it I do have to figure out where this small leak is coming from thou lol

Well you know, it's been hot, we do a lot of asphalt and paving, working 6-day weeks, although I think tomorrow I'm attacking an overgrowth of poison oak with sprayers and hedge trimmers. And then rescuing a bunch of scrap.

And we had a new guy leave early today, pretty sure he's not coming back next week
