I think I might have negotiated myself a decent raise yesterday though. We will see what happens. Big shoutout to the labor shortage for that!

 

That's because the 'OT' you put in is part of your self-owned business. Then you're paying yourself when someone buys.

 

I'm... talking about all the marketing I'm constantly doing for him lmao. Customer service, troubleshooting, etc while he's home and offline.

My shit is a whole other can of worms I can only blame myself for, lol.

Oh yeah, we're real small. It's my boss, his wife helps out sometimes, I've been working for him since late September, and we got another guy back in April. We're looking to hire one more person so I can go back to doing more work at home. We all do a bit of everything, but we all kinda gravitate towards certain tasks.

It was an at home gig at first. I just did polishing and would deliver and pick up new work once or twice a week. He has a day job and I noticed he was having trouble making molds on his own and keeping stock on his shop, so I offered to work with him until he quit, but I created an environment where he didn't have to quit, so working 2 well paying jobs he bought a house, and now we're even in a commercial space. He has only been doing this for a little over a year.

 

I don't hate that though...

 

Pfft. It's not even amphibious.
