I ran mine for 2-3 weeks last year with all blue led icicle lights, didn't get stopped. The inverter is only powered when the truck is on. 120V, 400W when parked, 100W when rolling.

It's only illegal if the cops see it. At least I didn't get the flashing Blue Lights! I almost walked out with those before I noticed. Was like maybe not a good idea.
