I was looking at the 4.88s. With spending most of the time on the road and a lot of that time on the highway I was thinking that the 4.88 would give me just a touch better mileage. I drove a friend of mines DCSB on 34s with 5.29 and that thing was in 4th by the time I was doing 30. I know it isn't a huge difference between the 4.88 and 5.29, but every little bit helps.

We can take DevilPenguin out for a spin. It's a 6spd on 35's with 4.88's.
And it's a big fat Piguin.

Vader is a DCLB with the AT. I don't know how big of a difference it would be between the MT and the AT for that part of it. Plus, it's a Taco. It hasn't had any power from day one.

These are both true statements. But it is a truck, so it wasn't a sports car in the first place.
We may be working on a taco this weekend anyway.

I've recently decided to start driving mine a tad more aggressive. Holding shifts until closer to 3000 Rpm etc

It may not be a sports car.... But it is a sports truck

Still not as sporty as a Frontier though.... :anonymous:

I'd say I usually run to 4k or so, 4.88's help that though. But not raping the hell out of it either.
Shhh. Or Felden will show up.

I still need to do the Westcott lift and Icon AAL on mine. The parts are just sitting in the garage.

4.88s if you are staying stock size tires. 5.29 if you go any larger than stock.

@uploadadventure ran 5.29 & 33s for a long time before he eventually moved to 35s

4.88 in the AT puts the final drive in line with the stock MT.

there's been lots of people that went 4.88 and wish they went 5.29 but I've yet to see anyone that went 5.29 and wishes they went 4.88. the auto is painfully under geared from the factory so any help it can get makes a huge difference.
