Getting the equipment is the biggest expense. Especially when getting the proper tooling

I'm just super tired of working boring jobs, not feeling motivated, underchallenged and underappreciated when I love working on things and have a bunch of cool ideas floating in my mind brain. Plus the people I've met since becoming a Toyota enthusiast and getting involved with the hobby of off-roading has been some of the best people I've met in my life. I've made some really awesome friends and had some pretty rad times with a lot of you guys. Just feels like a no brainer to pursue something in this field and see where it takes me.

Welders, pipe benders. plasma and laser cutters, CNC machine. All cost way to much.

Just wait till you retire. Then it gets to be so much more fun doing those things.

Don't forget press breaks. Gotta buy the machine and tooling separately

That's why I'm writing up an expense sheet to see what I can get away with on the cheap to start small, then what I'd get if things worked out in the first year and I decide to keep going. Plan to write up 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 30 year goals and business models. We'll see what happens, things can change in the craziest of ways, as we've all found out in the past couple years. I'm not promising anything but I really want to see what I can do.

If you do get to the point you can get decent equipment I'd go with Trumpf equipment. Thats mostly what we have at work and they're pretty user friendly

Me and @Slashaar are fairly young. I'm 32 and I already know I'll never fully retire. Especially with how things are going

Trust me, 32 to 47 will fly by. The days are long but the years are short. They get shorter all the time.

30 here. Gotta make a stake when you're young I think? Carpe Diem?

    :pout: I know..... I can dream can't I?

Military will do that for ya, unfortunately all I got was broken and no benefits. That's a story and a half.
