really? thats an odd one mine just wont turn back on anymore after i tore the front end apart it no longer works but nothing looks damaged so idk or really care

 

Let’s talk oil. Specifically Penzoil ultra platinum 5/30 vs. Mobil 1 full synthetic 5/30.

I’ve always read that toyota uses mobil 1 for their oil, but I’m finding that the Penzoil is better. Now, am I taking my truck to 10k miles between oil changes? No. I’m changing them at 3-5k because oil is “cheap” and it’s fun to change it.

should I make the switch to Penzoil or just stick with mobil 1 with toyota filter?

 

thats up to you i run mobil in all of my stuff besides the klx and ive never had an issue with any of my vehicles i also dont use no toyota filter lol i just use a wix

 

I’ve run amsoil 0w20 full synthetic at 10k intervals for years

also I’ve never once thought an oil change was fun lol

 

I enjoy the mobil 1 synthetic in our vehicles, but as long as the oil is clean, you're running well and you're running the correct weight and all, oil is oil is oil

At least in the older-ish toyotas.

I think the placement of the filter in the Tacoma is super nice; changing the oil on it isn't bad at all, just another chore. Our main issue is always finding something to put all the dang oil in

 

haha i always took my si to the dealer i never wanted to mess with it

the trucks oil filter is easy i like where its located but the oil always seems to hit my pan and then spray all over the place.....
