I would not turn down a 7.3, either IDI or Powerstroke. Both have their pros and cons

I had both idi and powerstroke. Im an idiot and sold both of my 99 powerstrokes for dirt cheap. Bought my 99 2wd zf6 ext cab long bed back from the insurance auction for $1500, and snagged a 4x4 auto 99 ext cab in Ottawa, ks for $900 needing a radiator. New radiator and turned out it cracked the injector cup in the pass side rear cylinder and i couldnt remove it without pulling the heads (i tried with the removal tools. Should have just swapped the motors between the trucks and even the cabs but i was an idiotic 21yr old

Oof. Finding a 7.3 that hasn't been molested is gonna be hard as hell these days and when you do they want an arm and a leg for them or they need a crap ton of work. My uncle has a 99 7.3 that has less than 200k miles and I want it bad but he won't let go of it :annoyed:

That's a good engine; my dad has one in his truck.

I'd prefer my next vehicle have minimal computers, if any at all
