These would fit the plan of making a basecamp for a week in the Mark Twain forest.
You know, if I ever can get away. Kaz blew his hips out last week so that isn't helping.

Wyoming was pretty great in that regard. Generally don't regret moving back though. Pretty happy here overall

I feel. The KC area has been the best area I've lived in. Far from perfect, but the best. There's lots of diversity and culture, there are a few things to do, every suburb is a little different, I like midwestern people, it feels homey, we have 4 seasons, we're very centralized, it's an affordable metro compared to other cities, you could live on a piece of land and still be a 30 minute drive from downtown, there's opportunity here.

I like it here. There are other places I'm sure I'd like better, but there are a looooot of places I didnt

I honestly can't stand the midwest. I hate summer with a passion. I'd be okay with 3 seasons. I prefer my cooler weather
Try living in illinois, it's terrible. Main thing that's keeping me here is my dad. When something happens to him I'm gone. Don't know if I want to go west or south

Your fam gives a shit about you, that's a good reason to be here.

I used to thrive in the cold, but not anymore. Then I used to like die in the heat, that's kinda calmed down. With that all changing all the time, I think it's safest to go with a mix of weather, right  Summer is the worst, though. The seasons kinda break things up a bit, it's a good reminder things are changing, so if times get tough, it's a great way to realize you can always kinda refresh I guess. I get bored of each season around the time it ends, so it all works out, lol.
You'd prob enjoy northern MN or WI. Tons of lakes, super beautiful, nice and cool, fairly cheap living, sparse populations.

Nope. I want to get out of the midwest completely. I'm willing to deal with the heat out west because there's way more to do offroad wise maybe Nevada, Utah or Colorado. Or go to Kentucky or Tennessee

Wouldn't Kentucky or Tennessee just be the Midwest with southern accents and a less snow? I couldn't recommend Utah enough, it's so pretty and within a decent drive of everything else you'd want to do in the desert.
