Ayyy, I know how that is.

It's not about ice or what the trucks have or not either.

I drove home after the Chiefs divisional win 2 weeks ago.

Hit a bridge, started fishtailing, took foot off accel immediately, traction control kicks in, stabilizes truck along with my handling, and prevents me from having a fatal accident with the semi behind me attempting to pass.

    It's about experience. Not objects.

Thus why you never ride anyone's ass in poor conditions. and you slow down long before you do on dry pavement.

    Of course it can.

So 4x4 and common sense can go a long way. Don't speed, don't rush, anticipate accordingly, jump every ramp you see, force any cars going slower than you off the road, drive with your lights off and there's no problem! Wait, something in that sentence is wrong.

    You're right.

You should speed, rush, and don't anticipate accordingly.

So why are you so against him using 4x4? Other people don't affect your 4x4, you do. 4x4 with patience, experience, and common sense will be very helpful.

not what i meant at all
what i mean is 4x4 on ice isnt going to help most of the time you just slide and dont grip to anything thats what i mean by it also 2 weeks ago you mean the snow storm we had? we drove home in that on friday had to winch a few people in that surprisingly the damn thing worked...

I agree with this completely. It's like riding a motorcycle, others are the problem usually.

I don't drive the race car, I just work on it.
But, i do have 20+ years experience of living in the middle of nowhere, driving in everything you can think of around here, and qhen you live threw sideways into a tree at 70, and a triple rollover....you get the idea..

Bet I've gotten a z28 camaro places you didnt think it would go....

Well, you slide when you're going faster than you should be going when coming to a stop.

Comes back to experience and common sense.

I never had any issues with my 4x4 on icy roads.
