Went out saturday night and watched my buddy's first MMA fight. Had this guy dead to rights and slipped up in the 3rd round and ended up guillotined. Then watched a handful of other fights. Wasn't a bad night.

Is that a good price? Been meaning to look into some FI for my 2023. Not sure if TT or SC is the better option. I used to follow the OVT thread for the TT but cant seem to find anything recent on it.

Tuner threads have been pretty much eradicated from TW. Way too much going on for moderators to keep up. With. That being said, there are plenty of tuners around who will gladly PM and DM and all of that.

That being said, if you're looking for bolt-on modifications, the SC is the way to go. It's a bit simpler than TT both with installation and long-term maintenance. Net power gains are a little bit lower, but they're also more linear and put less strain on your drivetrain.

If you have a pit crew and go full send and your credit card is limitless, adding a turbo to any NA setup is a lot of fun but also a lot of work.

I figured with Lexus and Tundra/Sequoia using the 3.5 TT, it would be easier for the Tacoma, but it does not appear so. TT would have been great for that torque down low (my biggest compliant with the V6, followed by the illogical gear ratios).

No pit crew here, and no matter what AMEX says, their is always a limit on the card. SC maybe it. Thanks for your input.

    Uh....

1: the VA 3.5 L in the Tundra is not related to the GR 3.5 L in the Taco whatsoever. Completely different internals. Completely different engine block. Completely different. Literally everything. They just happen to have similar displacement numbers.

2: turbos don't make torque down low.

The TT kit left a lot to be desired. It worked great once you finally got it installed but it was quite involved and much more time consuming than the sc install. Much more custom vs bolt on.

The sc tune from magnusen is garbage. Definitely get a stryker tune from @mZiggy (yotawerx) if you get a sc.

2 is false. The 4th gen has peak torque at 1700 rpm. Modern turbos have no issue making power down low.

Yup, I have a couple of newer turbo cars (one twin turbo and one with a twin scroll turbo). Both make and hold peak torque from pretty low RPM. My SC Cadi 6.2 is a blast to drive, but needs to be wringed to get it there. For daily driving the turbo are better IMO.

S/C are more zippy because you don't have the lag a large turbo setup has. This means lower numbers, but your butt dyno will likely enjoy it more. As long as you can handle S/C whine.

But my experience is limited to sim games. :(

New vehicles with Turbos seem to be the way to go. Lots of them getting get power across the bandwidth and decent mpg. @Slashaar is right though with SC thoughts. To rack their own it’s about what you need.

Yeah he was killing it. He came out the gate with a solid hit then practically suplexed him. Second round he nearly had him choked out when the bell rang to end the round. 3rd round he was all gas no brakes and then slipped up and got grabbed in a guillotine choke and couldn't break it.

Yup that’s why most newer cars have smaller turbos. They spool a lot sooner but trade off is less top end
