All of my high school computer and programming classes were actually done on Macs, which I thought was kind of interesting. Lot of virtual OS simulators and partition hard drives. I do like Apple's vertical integration. I just wish more stuff worked with it. My other problem is I can spend two grand on a MacBook and only get half the computing power of an Asus which was also half the price of the Mac. Granite. I haven't been shopping for anything in quite a while so things may be slightly different, but those were my two biggest hangups on Apple. Then of course there's all the nonsense. They try and pull with music licensing and disabling iPods and whatnot. People like to talk about streaming but the reality is a lot of material on streaming platforms is cut down. It's lower quality and it's missing segments. I was listening to a live rush record the other day and they cut out all of the banter between Geddy Lee and the audience. It's a live record that stuff is supposed to be there. And he's not even known for doing it a whole lot. So the fact that it was missing from the few tracks was blatantly obvious. Royally ticked me off.

Idk if you can call that minecraft anymore. He has like 400 mods on it. Pretty sure he was building working locomotives the other day...

 

ya but them opening up the servers is whats got me excited lol i also only own a ps4 and have probably used it uhhh maybe a handful of times its got a nice layer of dust on it!

 

its still minecraft just with trains! the last one i built before we shut that server down was bigboy 4014 was really fun to build! the new mod pack has loads of stuff in it!

Yup same. I started on them back in the early 90s. A lot has changed since then with the transition to intel and now apple silicon.

I was in a meeting a few weeks ago and one of the procurement guys told Dell he wants a model to compete with the MacBook that can be instant on and 2 days of battery life lol

everyone always mentions streaming quality, but I’m still not sure most people have systems or ears capable of telling the difference. or they want lossless audio while using Bluetooth headphones, which don’t have the bandwidth for it

the tomb raider remaster just came out a couple weeks ago. I haven’t played it yet, been occupied with HD2

 

MSFS2020 was designed to work on potato PC's and xbox's of course you can run that easily...not at all what I'm talking about.

My problem is when the game boost to overcome low quality starts distorting the signal I can hear it. Even in my crappy old apple earbuds. Especially when I'm used to the higher end recordings of the hard copies of stuff I bought.

Now if I'm in a shop and it's running then it's not really a big deal but like in my car? It's a big deal.

 

Maybe that's why I've never had an ounce of interest in that game...
