Soooooooooo.... I bought my Tacoma back at the Copart auction. But now we can't get any parts from Toyota? Any idea where I can get drivers side rocker panel and reinforcement panel? Double cab.

I'm in SWMO down by Springfield and have a set of SCS Blaze 10 Brushed Cooper 17" wheels. I ran them for 200 miles, then put my Volks back on. If anyone is interested, lmk. I also have the lugnuts and a 5th wheel still in box. I just don't want to deal with shipping them.

I also have the SSO no cut front bumper that slides over the black plastic in the front too. It's new in the box as well.

When I called last week one dealer said Toyota is changing its part numbering system and that this will take atleast two weeks before parts become available!

 

its been awhile and i dont remember or tbh want to scroll back so how bad is the damage?

 

sooo question has anyone had the 4wd on the truck just randomly turn on? its happened a few times and the dealer didnt know what it was but thankfully didnt charge me oddly enough?

basically drive truck, park said truck, let truck sit for a bit, go start truck and boom 4wd light is on? but it doesnt seem to be engaged at least? i know this truck use to live in the country before i got it so it makes me wonder if a mouse has chewed on some wires that i havent found yet? other small issue which ive talked to josh about is my maintenance light for an oil change came on early? like 2000-1500 miles early or so... i left to go move the gf here and let my dad borrow the truck to tow some stuff he needed for our tractor. (nothing heavy just a attachment that i guess spins and tears up the ground idk what its called) he said the truck drove fine with no issues but when i came back its light was flashing indication an oil change but it was early by 2k at this point and then the light was on not a few days later. ive looked on here and it seems some people did have issues where the light just messes up on the dash? so honestly idk... never had this issue on my last truck so wondering if anyone has seen these issues before? other then that the truck drives fine.

 

Needs new door, rocker panel and panel support. Everything else can be straighted out per the body shop. All said in done, with what insurance paid, buy back and cost of fixing it, the v8 4runner should be free. Sucks that it will have a salvage title though!

 

Sounds like your wiring harness has fed a mouse or three

well shit that aint to terrible tbh hopefully you will be able to fix it all up! ill keep an eye out for any totaled ones on marketplace and send it your way. ive been seeing them listed there to partout over people taking them to junkyards

and yes maintenance light never had the cel show up thankfully and hopefully never do haha


with my luck i better go knock on some wood and steal some leprechauns clover or some shit...

 

I'd just hammer that flat till the door shuts. If it's just gonna be a trial rig and not a daily it won't matter too much. Then you can gut the interior and toss a cage in for peace of mind.

Then definitely needs to be reinforced, otherwise in a front impact that could buckle. Hence why it was totaled.
