    Hope everyone's safe today.

F4 Tornado hit Lawrence, KS, jumped over Kansas City (and me), and split into 2 cyclones in Kearney/Excelsior.

    What a wild month.

Spent the evening in the basement. Wasn't a fun time. It fell apart and skipped over the city right before it came into my neighborhood. It was crossing I70 near the speedway. I'm like 2 miles east of that. Have a friend out by Linwood who barely got missed. Hope everyone else made it out fine.

If you have seen all the news footage of Linwood of K32, my friend lives less than a mile south of K32, west of Bonner Springs. It passed just to the west of him. Could hear that damn thing rumbling outside my house right after it formed in Lawrence. Nuts. Haven't been that close since like 30 years ago in Illinois.

I honestly wish I could have seen it personally. I'm the type of guy to watch last minute until its time to duck for cover while recording.

I still have not seen a fully formed tornado, only had half a funnel drop across the lake from me at Smithville as a kid, but it dissipated quick.

Bet you felt you were in the Twister movie.

I haven't seen one either. I've seen funnel clouds trying to touch down, but didn't. I drove under a funnel cloud on I70 in western Kansas a couple years back. Wasn't sure what else to do. It was forming as it crossed the interstate so I said fuck it and kept going.

With all the trees in my neighborhood I wouldn't have been able to see it until it came blasting in so I stayed indoors.

Good call, too many debris to risk being out and about. Good to see you're safe, man.

Hope everyone is safe. We live in NW Bonner and had to hide out for a bit during the tornado. But luckily it seemed to dodge us ever so slightly. Just a bunch of debris and broken trees. I sure feel bad for the folks in Linwood and those around Lawrence. Must be devastating.

Awesome. It's good to hear Jeff. I really didn't feel like drilling holes for my new ones, especially after drilling out those frame rivets. And hoses weren't long enough from the relocation so I just reused the fox brackets......
