Was finally feeling good enough to get back to it, and had a free hour. Finally got it out......

What happen there? LCA Cam seize up?

 

Well, what happened as a simple teardown and swap turned into a nightmare.
Lower strut bolt welded itself to the lower arm and strut bushing. Bent the ears on the arms and broke it.
Then caught it with the angle grinder cutting the strut out. Then.........alignment cams fully seized in the frame. During the party of diassembly I apparently injured myself........finally got back to feeling good enough yesterday and had a bit of time today.

 

damn hopefully when i go to do my cam bolts and bushings i dont have that issue..

how did you hurt your self btw and what got hurt dont think i saw that on here?

 

2nd time I’ve heard of the lower shock bolt/mount doing that. Good to hear you doing better getting work in.

No worries, more events in the South East to go to down the line. TLCA has an event at SMORR later in the Fall I believe. Or just go wheeling local always fixes things for me, when I don’t get a chance to make some events

 

Dude, i so wish i could. Got stuff going on with house......wanna camp and wheel so bad.......
Apparently @Tacomania and i are almost twins......so wanna get over there.
Just been some much going here, with the trucks and the house.....
Good thing is the shop should be going up next spring at the latest, when it does st louis side will be invited for a mod day/weekend......
