Finally got the darn title to the truck. Felt like it was taking years.

 

Took three months to get mine. Made McCarthy Morse write me a check for late fees. Ended up not having to pay any. Free money!

 

Anyone know some good off-roading places(not extreme) near Overland Park or with in like 30 minutes of op?

I would have been quite ticked off for 3 months.. Did you get extension on the temporary permit? I'm not quite familiar with how that works.

 

I’ve found a couple good places (they are only mud) out south by Miami county, and some construction sites near my house, but that’s about it, and i ann pretty most of them aren’t really legal.

 

No extension. They were able to see when I actually got the title so technically I wasn't out of my 30 days when I titled it.

 

I'm not a mechanic at all. I can follow youtube videos and change my oil, spark plugs, and such. I have done that for my 08 Pontiac Grand Prix that I traded in for my truck. I plan on changing my own oil for sure, but looking at where the spark plugs are on the engine.. looks like I have to take the air filter off?

Also.. when/if I decide to get a lift.. (awhile down the road.. lol) You all want to help/teach me this stuff? I bring the beer.

Hah, awesome. Had mine for 6 good years.

Mine ended up having problems with the catalytic converter. I just took that as a sign that I wanted my Taco now rather than later. Saw it in the listing on my birthday, went and checked it out and walked out of the dealership with a new truck.

 

So does a 2 inch suspension lift really make that big of a difference?

I did 2.5-3" It doesn't look like much without a comparison, but it allows you to fit 33's with minimal trimming.

 

I replaced everything in that car but the entire drivetrain. Lifters, head gasket, all the lights, front bumper, I could go on. It was full of gremlins and I had been stuck with it since I couldn't afford to buy anything better. Got a $10 raise at work and then it was time.

 

Which lift did you install?

 

Bilstein 5100's all around, my original 3rd gen leaves with the Icon AAL installed....
