I've just developed a love for Toyota after how much bashing my car has taken and just been like "yes daddy" lol.

Growing up, most of my fam were chevy people and we were in this constant, broken down debt loop. Anyone in the fam who had a Ford, broken. The subaru outback? Steamy subie milkshake engine. Yadda yadda. No one in my area of wisco drove a Toyota.

I didn't know annnnything about cars when I got the Corolla, it was just in my price range, so I was under the impression with it having 227k miles that it was just gonna break down fast, as the owner was, and it didn't. Got rear ended by 2 SUVs, barely a scratch, any issues are a cheap fix, just over and over impressive with its dependable mediocrity.

That doesn't mean I pledge to Toyota or anything like that, I just feel more confident with the brand.

 

I got banned after the whole gun incident with Dakota.

Dude left his rifle + other stuff that he spams about in an unlocked vehicle. Kept posting how he will take care of them once he finds them while posting a picture of himself in full tactical gear. (A mall cop, btw) Told him how irresponsible he was and was instantly banned. Oh well, no harm, no foul. Got my discount tire discount before that.

 

Listen man, it's not a myth. You live over there so you don't know. So long as I stay in Missouri, I rarely have people passing on the right crossing 4 lanes of traffic with no blinkers going 90mph. I cross the border and I immediately have to start dodging kamikaze Kansans.

That gun shit cracks me up though. Unless he had it in a really obvious spot in his vehicle, it was 100% an inside job. Someone he knew, someone he knew's friend, someone who had seen him post about what firearms he keeps in his vehicle, etc.

People really do be out here thinking they're badass when they get a photo taken of them in tactical gear holding a rifle though.
Reminds me of a post I saw the other day in one of my Corolla groups, some lady asked what people put in this little useless cubby in our cars, and has this staged pic he obviously took a while back that barely shows the area, he has a gen without this little cubby, and it's just a photo of a rifle and a pistol in the passenger seat see that bs way too much.

The second amendment is cool, guns are fun but they don't make you special, keep where you store them to your damn self, common sense etc etc

I think my roommate tried to use the discount awhile ago and the store still had no idea what he was talking about. Too much of a hassle to try and get a discount using Dakota's "information" anyway.

And highly possible, his vehicle was parked between 2 metro mall cop cars. Ain't nobody scared of that.

 

Guns are kind of like politics, religion and genitalia. Nobody cares that you have them, but everyone gets a little uncomfortable when you wave them around in public.

I have always believed that guns are like genitalia. Just assume everybody has one on them somewhere and don't get yours out unless you are ready to use it.
