I didn't realize snow was in our forecast. Let's hope it's a decent drop.

Glad it's friday myself, get my new TOAKS cookset today and got my carhartt coat yesterday. I actually ordered some Blackbeard Firestarter stuff that comes Monday too. Getting all ready for a camp/wheel trip next week.

Keep in mind that I quit playing right after the original Grey Knights codex first came out. I played a smallish ~1000pt Imperial fist army, ~2000 points of Orks, and I can field up to about 2000 points in Tau. I only have the Tau and Orks buried in a box somewhere in my basement now, as far as I can recall.

I have been incredibly fascinated in the 40k universe since I was about 12 or 13 and it is still one of my top fantasy realms ever imagined. I'll pull some minis and take pictures tonight if I can find them easily. I also print (when I can) and paint tabletop RPG minis.

I might have mentioned this before, but I am a hyper-nerd.

About a nerd for 40k as I am for Diablo. :D

    Love the Diablo lore.

Look into dryer lint/cotton ball petroleum jelly fire starters. they're the only thing I carry now for that purpose. HMU if you need gear suggestions, between myself and my younger brother we have about 25 years of backcountry camping under our belts in the Rockies, Ozarks, and Appalachians.

I've made petroleum jelly balls and they did pretty good.

    Blackbeard seems less messy.

I admittedly know nothing of the Diablo realm because I can't stand top down dungeon crawlers. I'm sure it's interesting, but pretty generic fantasy compared to 40k.

What'd you do, keep them in a pocket?

You have to keep them in a little mason jar for car camping lol. I have little vacuum sealed packs I keep them in. Cut one open when you need a fire.

If you haven't committed to a cutting method yet, I can find out if the laser guy I used to do CAD for has time for a one-off. Is it a big complicated piece?

I stopped playing near the end of 7th edition. I had a 10k point chaos space marine army that I got rid of and have a small space marine that I started building but haven't touched it for about 4 years i think. Everyone I played with either got busy with life or moved and I just lost interest

Nothing complicated, just the taillight panel for my flabed project. I can make it simple enough that I think I could cut it, but I've got ideas for more interesting layouts that I need to sit down and figure out, never enough time though.

I kept them in an old yugioh tin box from back in the day. I would have kept them in an altoid tin next time I did it.

I meant messy when making them. First time I used lint and jelly without gloves, learned my lesson and did next batch with gloves.

9volt and steel wool, kids. Keep the 9v in your sleeve and mutter a "spell" and.... Voila! Fire!

Worked on the cub scouts back in the day, they thought we were wizards

Did that before. Was neat stuff.

Dad used to throw old hoses into the fire for colors. We were all amazed.
