Lol yeah, they're like two wheels sandwiched together plus that thing on the inside to seal it.

A set of Hutchinson's weighs as much as a four-cylinder taco. Change my mind

They are crazy light compared to MRAP wheels which Hutchinson makes as well.

Pretty sure you need a CDL to drive with MRAP wheels

You sure don’t want to try and manhandle a built wheel with tire by yourself.

It certainly does sound like a great time, but was more concerned with unsprung weight at that time.

Remember, I had Hutchies on the Tacoma, the LandCruiser, and the camper trailer. Since pulling them my fuel economy has increased and I’m still running heavy ass 35s.

This is the same problem I'm running into with my wheezy little 4cyl, but with less meaty shoes. I've looked at 255 widths on 16s and 17s and I'm struggling to find a combo that will weigh about what I have now, ideally less, and still go up in diameter.

How are those Cepeks in the snow? I don't like to put my chains on unless it's icy.

Using Method trail series 701 wheels with the internal “bead grip” lip and have wheeled them down to 8psi without issue. The weight saving over the Hutchies is massive and my faith in their lateral bead grip retention is high. There are other patterns in their trail series but this one was the simplest design that I appreciated when I purchased. I’d imagine there are other patterns that have been added to the line since then.

The wheels I'm planning to buy are 24lbs as well. Gotta stop at DTD after work to set the order and then use my truck for once to haul a recliner to store.
