    There it is!

Good suggestions, will take a look at those.

We're trying for late September, so now I'm concerned there would be a hurricane at the time we go, so I'mma push him west or somewhere.

Our concern is that there isn't much to do in a desert, other than off road. (Hiking, swimming, etc)

We went to Estes Park last month. It was a pretty fun experience.

I've already visited Cali, went to Ventura Beach, traveled down to Santa Monica and Venice Beach. I do want to visit more areas of it since it was only a small sample size of Cali I got to see.

I just meant the desert areas in general.

I wouldn't mind going once just to see, but other than that I'd take the mountains or the high plains.....Wyoming. No humidity, no poision ivy.

All my love is to Colorado at the moment. The mountains are gorgeous.

My buddy just seems put off from visiting the desert as there might not be much to do around there in terms of hiking, swimming, fishing, etc. I'd imagine we'd go somewhere else anyway to find all that stuff, but the desert to me, was for more sight seeing and overlanding first, then we find a spot for all the extracurricular activities.

/e: I also have a goal to get patches from every state I visit, even National Parks and such too. So no place is a bad place to me!

I'm going to Colorado next week. Not sure if I'll get a chance to get offroad yet. Hope to scout out some land too since its my short term goal to move there. Or Montana. Fuck humidity.

Little off road trail at Mark Twain National Forest near Council Bluffs. (first pic)

Pic with leveling blocks with another just a simple trail to a culdesac campsite where a walking trail can lead down to a bridge to fish into a creek. (No fish unfortunately)
