Ever since I watched a guy do it to his LS swapped racecar on youtube (can't remember the name off the top of my head), I've been fascinated with how clean it makes the wiring. Plus if you're constantly tuning, rebuilding like you would when you push a racecar then pulling the engine is a hell of a lot easier when you just disconnect one plug (plus battery leads I suppose) and all the wiring is taken care of.

Some of those get sooooo spendy tho. Someone specced one that was like 9 pins for me once, it was like $90 each, which I htink was just half the connector.

Was something from the Glenair line.

I wish, then I'd probably get a discount.

True. It's something I'd want to dive into and take my time with. Once I had it down I could produce them. I'd probably just start with the OEM harness for whatever application and go from there. Dependent on if it's running on OEM ECU or a complete custom setup like a Holley tuner or Haltech, etc. Honestly, I've always wanted to build a full vehicle from the ground up. I have multiple doodles, and notes from when I was brainstorming in my free time during basic to keep myself awake/busy. Learning machining and welding were just steps towards that end, but I've fallen into routine and haven't gone anywhere with it. thus picking up the welder and building my bumper really got me wanting to work on more things. I just don't have the space or tools at my house. I also need to find and teach myself a new modeling software since my Solidworks seat expired and the one I had at work got taken for some engineer so I no longer have access. I tried to apply for the modeling position since I'm pretty good with solidworks and was actually building my own engine block when they took my seat. Just a rough concept anyway.

I watched Howe and Howe Tech a lot and always thought what they did was really cool and I actually applied to work for OSHKOSH Defense before I settled here. Never even got a call from them since I don't have a fancy paper. Just and average Associates of Applied Science paper.... I really hate book learning, so the thought of going back and getting a BA really isn't that interesting to me. Maybe someday....

    Shitty mounts, lol.

Just 2 bolts and a thin plate, I had to buy different length bolts. 2 mounts on 2 bars. One of the plate is bent too.

I ended up doing that in 2018. Got a 5x8 and completely customized it. All insulated and sealed. Sleeps a full size mattress and has a kitchenet in the back. Also, it completely runs off solar power.

Actually trying to sell it now since our family is growing.

I heard there is an event at KS Rocks this Saturday. IDK much about but I'll be tagging along with my buddy on his Jeep. Bringing my camera, so if anyone from here will be there, I'll try to post some pics.
