Motorcycles are addicting... my first one was $8,000... the next one was $16,000... plus accessories.. which I’m not gonna total up.

lol ya im looking at a ninja 400 tbh it looks nice and has good reviews and dosent seem to be a crazy slow bike like the old beginner bikes. i wouldn't mind a 650 but i dont like the last generation i like the new one and its a bit more then the 400

I feel like I got out of the motorcycle game fairly inexpensively. First bike was $300, spent $700 getting it back on the road and sold it for $1300. Second bike was bought as parts and sold as parts. Third bike was $8500, rode it halfway across the country, finally sold it after it sat for three years for $6k.

Round two, whenever it happens, is up in the air

Definitely worth a watch. Theres 3 series - long way round (round the world), long way down (Scotland to South Africa) and long way up (Argentina to LA)

Never got over a liter, myself. First was an '82 Honda CB900C. Third was a BMW F650GS twin. Next will likely be 650cc or smaller. Slow bike fast vs fast bike slow, etc

I'm still finding parts leftover from all three bikes stashed around my garage. I'll add them to the pile of parts from other past vehicles and vehicles I've never owned

Shit. My first (and so far, last), bike was $3250...then I probably put another $2k in upgrades and repairs. I put 43,000 miles on it before it developed some awful bearing noise in the middle of nowhere on a long trip. Now the engine is sitting on my workbench

    Gear is crazy expensive too.

First bike was a Yamaha FZ6r (600cc) - @Tigerian has this now but is going to get a Tiger 900 at some point
Second bike is a Yamaha Super Tenere (1200cc)

I do like those yamahas. The regular tenere has been on my wishlist for a while, right next to the husky 701.
