Looking forward to meeting up with you guys! I will be with a Red TJ and a silver FJ in my Tacoma. Are the trails pretty clear of brush, I already have enough pen stripes from tuttle creek.

Got the truck back today. what a difference a few bearings and a balance make, no more vibrations from the driveshaft going through the seat and shaking the entire truck.

all good to go for wheeling this weekend :)

Awesome news Colin! Look forward to good times this weekend and you'll be my guest when they ring the dinner bell, since my bud can't make it & I reserved for 2 on the headcount for food.

Reeves sounds good! Just look for Colin's or my Taco and we can hook up. Can't say anything about the trails there. Be my 1st time there.

turttletoy, thanks for the headsup on zuk squeeze & carnage canyon, section 20 & 24 from the map and both black trails, I'm not set up for that kind of trail so will avoid. If your down look us up.

Not sure but a friend & his brother might be down also, he has a '12 Tundra & his brother has an older 4runner I think a '98, we talked about this weekend a couple Fridays ago, but not sure he'll be down, he went to Colorado last week for a few days, if he is he'll find me, he knows my truck & I his. Last I saw they had 240 registered to go, not including whoever shows up at the gate, so should be a great turnout. Look forward to meeting up with everyone and having a great 2 days of wheelin! :yay:

    Can't forget my camera!

I take it you've preregistered, David?

How's this meal ticket thing work? The description of the event on their website doesn't say anything about that. I was considering bringing a friend from work, but if this meal ticket thing and the fact that i haven't preregisterd and am just paying at the gate is going to cause problems, i'll just leave her behind this weekend.

Not sure, when I registered, it asked how many and I put 2. Not sure if they have tickets or just how many on a printed list of who registered. I know you have to check in before you can hit the trails. They didn't go into much detail as to how that was going to work out. I'd say bring her along! They did post a pic of some of the stuff they were getting. There is also going to be a vendor there selling meat. The campsites have fire rings.

Kansas Rocks Recreation Park ( KRRP )
WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR SATURDAY!!!! We have lot's of food and fun ready. If your plans changed and ur able to come, or forgot to preregister, please feel free to come on down! Can't wait to see everyone.

    July 14 near Overland Park

Bring your coolers next Saturday. Kurzweil Country Meats will be there to cook the burgers, dogs and brats and he is going to have his deepfreeze with some of his most popular items that you can purchase. If you have not had the opportunity to try his food you are in for an awesome treat!!!! And Chris is such an awesome friend & supporter of the Park, that he will donate a percentage of the sales back to us!! Wow, thank you Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really looking forward to this as well. I'm bringing a propane single burner, since I'll be starving the next morning. Trail food that all you add is hot water, stuff like that. Nothing major, chips, water, couple cans of soup, etc. I'm sure there is a store in Mapleton if the need arises to get food. Small cooler, lawn chair for the live band showing, my tent, change of clothes. It's only overnight so not gearing up for a long cross country haul.

I really want to check this place out since it is the closest place to me for wheeling. If it looks as good as it sounds I'll go back again. My co-worker wants to go and it's open every weekend. So we talked about maybe around Oct when it cools off. He's a fisherman and there is a county lake close by that has free camping. Bourbon County State lake. Few miles away from the place. Well at least there will be plenty of horsepower to get any one that is stuck free. :)

If you don't have meal tickets. Just bring a small cooler with food and drinks. Honestly, with that many people its never fun standing in line to eat. If you've never been to the park. I recommend picking a group especially ones that knows the trails. The park isn't that big especially with that many people attending. Pick and choose your battles! Haha. People have definitely come out without a scratch. Then there's people like me that don't. Definitely be a good time and some awesome rigs out there.

i'm trying, but my company keeps moving me around, so i never have enough downtime to put the truck on jackstands for a couple weeks. that, and the fack that my welder, bender, chop saw, bress, and every other fabrication tool i own are in a storage unit in florida, waiting for my company to give me a permanent location. feel so naked without all of my tools :(

too many plans. major things are: rebulding the rear suspension. i'm working on a middleground suspension somewhere between mid and long travel. trying to incorporate the positives of both, while eliminating some of the drawbacks of both. it'll involve fabricating (at a minimum) a custom set of shackls, possibly relocating and maybe flipping the shackle hanger, and then building a bed cage for the shocks. and of course new springs and shocks. front end's getting long travel, but there really isn't much fabrication work for that. before all of that however, front and rear lockers, with a major regear. i'm just waiting to get a semi-permanate location, and then the lockers and gears will happen. i have them sitting in my shopping cart at ECGS, just waiting to hit the buy button :turtleride:

What axles are these off of? Or do they make a complete aftermarket set?

it depends. the axles are speciffically made (not an OE part from another vehicle as far as i know) for the aplication, but the moving parts change depending on the kit. some use stock birfs with the new axle installed, but in the last year or so, a couple kits have been developed that use a larger, aftermarket birf with a fabricated spindle, and then there's one company that uses a u-joint on the outer.
