Katzkin color options

I couldn’t get the TRD Sport premium I wanted and settled for a fairly stock Sport.
The dealer offered to add Katzkin heated leather seats for me but with limited options.
I think if I’m going to go with Katzkin I can customize them better on my own for the same or little more money.
Can anyone tell me what the interior color is on a 2022 Sport?

I’m trying to match or come close to this color to start with but Katzkin has 16 grays..
Is it black? Is it graphite, dark graphite?
Any and all help would be appreciated.

 

I used to install a lot of Katzkins, we used to have swatches. Not sure if Katzkin still has or sells them. Perhaps you can contact them for some swatches and try to see what matches up to your liking.

 

A few problems
First I don’t have the truck. It’s being built this week.
Second Katzkin won’t give me a list or even a name of a local installer until I put an order in.
I was thinking I could at least talk to someone who had put them in and get some input.
I like go black but if the rest of the interior is graphite or some other gray it may not look right (in my mind)
If it is black I’d really like to black with a contrasting insert color
Katzkin told me they where 3 weeks out after ordering so I’d like to have it already to go when the truck gets here

Your Toyota dealer might have a deal going with a shop who installs Katzkin. My dealer had a custom auto shop they use often install black leather Katzkin seats ($999) plus front seat heaters ($299). There was another thread earlier in the year about this, my price was lower than others who did not go through their Toyota dealer.

 

When in doubt, go with black. The headliner, door cards, and trim are black. The cloth seats vary from black to graphite depending on year model, but if it were mine Id still choose black. If you want a splash of fun, have either the stitching or wings color matched to the exterior color.

Or heck, Red is fun. I have a magnetic gray truck, I had my Clazzios stitched in red and installed red accents on dash (courtesy of MESO), because I'm this many years old and it was my money to burn.

 

My dealer quoted me 2k to add heated black leather seats to my truck. I believe I could do better if I could go directly through a local katzkin dealer in New Hampshire....The dealer dosn't know any place to get it done naturally and katzkin wont give me a name until I start the order process...

 

Thats why I'm asking....I was thinking the black would look off it sits on a graphite or gray base...I want black with brown perforated back and wings

 

It will look perfectly matched. The primary interior for TRD trims (headliner plus carpet) are still black.

 

I got black leather seat covers from clazzio and it’s almost a perfect match with the interior.

Not sure if this helps but on my 21 MGM sport the interior color is listed as cement, but that is only for the seats and the door panels. Everything else is black.

While I have the Katzkin experts here, do you have to get the heated seats to get ventilation or can you just get them ventilated? Also, where do they put the switch and does it lead to any electrical issues?

katzkin leather is better than what you can get from TRD Sport Premium, half the surface of the OEM leather trim isn't even leather

I got black with red stitching because the truck is red.
I'd highly suggest you get the ventilated seats too, you're about to drop $2.5k anyway, for another $500 it's worth it

 

My heater switch is on the lower side of the seat.
