Good call with Katzkin. Wish I had gone that way, not digging the back seat gap with my CST.

    Andrew, great looking install!

AH shit! you covered over the stock fabric? I was afraid the spray adhesive wouldnt hold if I did the leather on top of the regular arm rests!

Yeah we just went over the fabric. We just put down a good amount of adhesive on the stock armrest and on the back of the material, let it sit in the sun for a few minutes, then carefully set/laid it over the fabric.

We didn't even cut or trim any of the excess material off incase we had to redo them down the road. John drilled them back on to the doors. Throughout the day the material tried bubbling up a couple times on the bend of two of the doors but I just kept pressing the material back down. I checked on it a couple times yesterday, always rubbing the material. I checked on it this morning and it was perfect. I rode my bike to work and just got off the phone with my GF and had her check it. She said they were fine and no bubbles.

So I would recommend to just go over the fabric if its in good condition. Just use the right adhesive and don't worry about the possible bubbles that or loss of contact the first day. Just press it down and rub it in. It will eventually fully dry to the fabric.

Keep in mind though that my truck has less than 10k miles on it and the stock fabric was pretty damn clean and didn't have any grime or grease on it. So that may be a factor when deciding on wether or not you want to go over your fabric.

I'll keep you guys posted on how it holds up down the road though.

Great customer service on your end John. Hopefully a fix or something will be figured out by CST.

pictures not so great, I still haven't done the armrests or center console yet. Took a lot longer than I expected. A second pair of hands would have helped.
Katzkin with perforated centers, and liquicell inserts.

HomerTaco's install page helped, but the Katzkin is different than CST so I had to figure some things as I went. I may make some notes on it.. too tired now.

Seats are being worked on right now, should be done this afternoon. I will try and post pictures asap. I don't have anything cool though like some of the others, just a solid color.

Seats a few post above look awesome, if I had the money I would of gone that exact contrast of colors. well done

Well crap... Black outside, grey insert didn't look so hot on the katskinz seat builder so I thought I ruled that out... but it looks great too! D'oh! So many decisions.

One question for some of the guys who've had the leather in for a while, how is it standing up right above the adjuster dial on the drive's side? My stock fabric has a hole and a worn patch there from sliding out of the seat. It was there from the previous owner but I'm worried it will happen to the leather.

Also I'd be interested in any liquidcell feedback. Worth it? From time to time I spend 10+ hours in my vehicle on road trips and the like.

    Liquicell:

I don't have a non-liquicell to compare it to, but it is comfy.. I am actually surprised how much more comfortable it is than the stock fabric..I say its worth it.

Katzkin Leather in Carbon Color. Seats turned out really nice, I don't think pictures do them justice like everyone keeps saying. They even smell good :D

I ordered the center console cover from redline as well, hopefully that will come in this week. Also have dark weathertechs coming in which I think will tie in well with the carbon color of the seats.

Thanks again to John and Andrew for setting this group buy up!

Totally agree with this post. The other day when I was over at John's I commented on how I wanted to get dark Weathertechs to tie the colors together. :D

    Questions:

I saw someone ask at least twice about pricing for regular cab with buckets, but never saw a reply. So what's up with Regular cab pricing?

What's the reason these are listed only for '05-'08? Is it because of the airbags in the seats? IIRC, '08 was the last year of non-airbag seats.

    Hey Folks,
With intentions of running this Group Buy through the end of April if not longer you will begin to see a few changes. I would like to begin to offer Katzkin ONLY. Although CST offered some beautiful kits with embroidered options, there have been a few fitment concerns that have not yet been resolved. Katzkin starting this week has began to offer up some TRD/Toyota logos that will be posted in a few days. I will have specific pricing on kits and options as well as heaters. I will post Clearance kits available from both companies so you will be able to take advantage of extra savings...but remember these kits can not be altered they are boxed and ready to ship. I again Thank AndrewH for his help and all of yous who have purchased and posted. Stay Tuned :) John

Here are a few of the logos available from CST that were chosen by fellow Members. I assume that these will be available from Katzkin as well. Keep ya posted.. John
