Very nice. I want to see how to do the rears. Please post when you do them as well.

Just did the rears yesterday and finished them today. Sorry no pics, but they are VERY easy. Small side took 40 minutes, from removing the seat to installed back in the truck. The large side took about an hour. One tip, label the head rest plastic pieces. I just did 1F, 2F, etc. and just use a flat head screwdriver to push down the plastic ears. Also you'll need to remove the center seat belt that's bolted to the floor. It's one bolt, 13mm I believe and it's locked in with a washer. So you'll remove the center belt and the rear passenger side plastic belt lock. The bolt will keep them together with it's lock washer and it slides out of the old skin and in to the new with ease.

Also when you go to reinstall the lower seats (not the backs) it's easier to remove the larger bolts that attach to the box/floorboard and then attach the brackets directly to the seat bottoms. Then just attach the larger bolts back to the box/floorboard. This is way easier than trying to line up your bolt holes with the seat flipped up.

I'll get some pics up when I'm done. The Katzkin fit great and are really easy to work with. I'm used to doing late 60's cars with springs, these are way easier.

Hope that helps for pointers on the rears.

I too had to get the exact same kit, but with gel pads for the long car rides. The seats look awesome!! Thanks for the inspiration/easy ordering process ("I want those")

Sorry, we haven't had much excitement from the Gen1 owners. I'll send ya some pics of my DoubleCab and then you can be the first one postn pics of a Gen1 Xtra cab? Same pricing applies to the Gen 1s. John

Sorry for the bad cell phone pictures, but you get the idea. Got my kit from John Huey and got it installed. Took me longer than it took most of you probably, but that's how it goes on some installs.

    Hey Guys,
Effective September 1st due to what Katzkin calls an unusual surge in the cost of hides (48% from Feb. to April) Katzkin has increased their prices by $50 per kit. Unfortunately, in turn I will be forced to do the same. Nonetheless, even with this increase I think by far this the most dramatic difference you can make per $$ to your Tacoma. I do not intend to make this adjustment to the Group Buy pricing until October 1st and will then continue to offer the FREE shipping. I thank the 40+ of you who have purchased and made this site a blast to view the finished pics of your ride.
    Sincerely,
    John Huey

I would like to add I've got 2 kits available at discounted pricing.

    I have a Fawn colored kit for a 2005-2008 DoubleCab TRD/Sport without AirBags $300

Also, a fellow member has a 2005-2008 Access Cab kit in Carbon (pictured) for a non-fold flat passenger seat app. $400

I actually ordered the dark graphite Katzkin material and sent it to them. Got the idea from BenWa.

Good idea. How much did it cost to do it that way?
