For those of you who have installed the heater kits along with your Katzkins can I ask where you have found to be the place to pull the POWER from?? Fuse box, ignition harness etc. I have a gentleman who has just purchased both but being in Arizona I get to install the leather but rarely the heat.. Also, anyone throwing an airbag light after an install? Probably due to the seat weight sensor? Let me know how you reset that so I can pass it along as well...
    THANK YOUS!!

For the heat wiring I just used an add a fuse wiring circuit and pluged it into the fuse panel behind the coin tray on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

As for the airbag light ??? I've only done two installs but I haven't had it come on with either.

I'd imagine the seat heaters will need higher amperage fuses piggy backed into the add-a-circuit do u recall which locations you used?

Interesting about the air bag light, keep us posted.

Add a circuit by ATO. Should be an empty fuse slot right next to the ignition fuse, that's good for driver. For passenger, I pulled the tail light 10A and used add a circuit and tapped into that. No problems now, over a year of use.

I also installed my heater switches in the door panels, from this write up: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/155178-heated-seats.html Only problem with that was the wiring for the heat seaters wasn't long enough so I had to splice it and add some. Also requires some plastic cutting and epoxy to attach to drivers side It gives a nice OEM look. Make sure you use a good epoxy. My first wasn't and in Atlanta heat, it started to deform and allowed for play in the panel. Had to go back in and basically restructure it with high temp epoxy. No problems now. From a shop's view, consider about an extra hour of shop time if you're going to install in the arm rest area. The panels just pop out, but the additional cutting and splicing of wiring and then the reshaping of the drivers side control panel take a little more time.

As for the airbag code, it's more than likely the clock spring coil and there is a recall notice on that. Have your customer check his VIN with Toyota to make sure.

Katzskins installed except for two front headrests.....damn I'm whooped. So anyone know how to get the front headrests off other than cutting or does the new leather go over the current upholstery? pics to come once I finish them, and door armrests. big thanks to the people on here like Homertaco as well as others who take the time out to make those tutorials that really helped me out. Also thanks Jhuey.

The headrests just come off. They are tucked in that seam in the middle if that makes sense. Then when you put the new ones on, they tuck and roll as well. Hope that helps.

All of them do except the front ones they don't come off. The Katzkins fit over it. It was a pita popped a seam, had to vaccum shrink it with a plastic bag to get them on.

I think if you were to try and cut the fabric off you might tear the foam. I just installed mine over the factory one and you can't even tell.

The seat covers are made by Clazzio. I don't sell them or have any connections with them. Just bought them and have really liked them so far. I asked the seller(jdmlinkup) if he could reduce the price from $450 to $400 even, he said yes. I can't speak of the quality of the Katzkins, I have never seem them in person. Had this group buy come up a month earlier I would have been onboard, but so far I'm glad I spent half the money and went with the Clazzio custom seats. Just wanted throw this option out there for my fellow Tacomen.
