I am thinking of adding after market leather to my new vehicle. Anyone have experience with the Katzkin? If so did you go with the standard or the xt?

I was looking into them as well but with all the awesome reviews and pics of Clazzio I went that direction. Saved a ton of money and they don’t look like covers….

My week-old Tacoma has standard Katzkin heated seats. They are nice, they feel substantial and are probably better than the OEM leather. The sales guy said the XT is used by offroaders and is really really tough and stiff. My seats were $999, the front seat heaters were $299.

Went with Katzkin after having the OEM leather. They're awesome, look amazing and are one of my favorite mods.

And because I should have added pics from the start.

I want to do Katzkin in my truck also. I was quoted (installed) 1695 for single color ( front and rear of double cab) and 1995 for custom combo. And 595 for front heated seats. Seems to be different prices depending on where you are.

Pardon the dumb question but are Katzins seat covers or is it a remove and replace with leather?

My price quoted was $1700 with heated seats. It was to remove and replace with leather. Different colored stitching or xt leather added to the bill.

Katzkin is a full replacement while Clazzio is just a glorified seat cover.

The seats and headrests are removed from the vehicle, the cloth covering is removed, and the leather installed and the seats put back in place.

I didn’t want to spend $1995 on Katzkin, but these look great!

I love the Katzkin leather. I put them on after having Clazzio covers. Night and day difference in comfort and frankly…..easier to install DIY.

My '17 TRD OR already had a full set of basic black Katzkins installed by the original owner, when he first bought it. The seats still look great, 5 years down the road (just like the black set, above), and the black looks great, in my Super White Taco.
The leather seems very high quality, very comfortable, and a lot easier to move around on, than the typical cloth seats.

Where do you have the heated seat switches mounted?

For real. Sign me up for the half price "covers" that look just as good and hold up just as well.
