    Update:

    I was working under the hood of my truck and noticed chunks missing from my fan shroud and I have no idea what could have caused this, Does anybody have any suggestions as what could have caused this?

    Broken motor mount, engine torqued and the fan hit the shroud.
    Previous owner could have lost the fan carrier bearing/water pump.

    Both would be unlikely at low mileage.

    I hope that is all that happened.

    I have heard that can happen from a broken motor mount but wouldn't I hear a very noticeable sound of a fan hitting the shroud every time I accelerate heavily?

    Yup. My accord had a broken mount and when I'd rev hard the whole engine would shift up and in one direction. That was just in neutral tho. Rich you is one fart smeller! I mean smart feller lol

    My 2nd car had a broken mount.
    Fucking thing torqued over and LOCKED to full throttle on me. Made for a fun trip down the road.
    Ya... it was a 12-second '69 Camaro... not a Civic.

    Replaced the stock mounts with Moroso solid mounts.
