    I did this with my father and it all seems to be ok but I did it in neutral, is there a reason the trans has to be in gear?

    In neutral there probably isn't enough torque to lift the engine off of the broken mount.

    Doesn't have to gas it hard... you'll be able to tell when there's a little load on it and it starts to torque over.

    Just ordered some new drum brake shoes. I went with Wagner ThermoQuiet's that will hopefully stop that awful rear drum squeak when brake dust builds up for a lil bit longer than the stock brakes.
