    Welcome, My dad and I recently rigged up a rack on our tacoma so we could start taking the kayaks out more.

    If you were referring to me, we built the rack out of some cedar 4x4's my dad had laying around.

    The tent cot slips under that piece of plywood and we rigged up a way to strap 2 ice chests down to the piece of plywood. All of our rods are strapped in underneath where the Kayaks go.

    The PVC also doubles as rod holders when we fish the surf.

    I don't think the corpus/port a area is effected (affected?) by the oil.

    Ramada Beach/Sun Oil area (in between Crystal Beach and Rollover Pass on Bolivar Peninsula.




    Oil spill hasn't even hit the Upper Coast yet. I'm praying that a Tropical Storm doesn't brew up anytime soon.
