Kayak Rack Compatible with Hooke Roof Rack?

    @Wattapunk, is there any way to secure that carrier to the rack so that it can't be easily stolen?

    I don't see how a thief would want to climb up and manually loosen the knobs to steal the carrier. It is more likely and same amount of time to take the whole roof rack. I guess you can loop a cable bike lock around it to the rack if that's your concern.

    If you're just looking for something to cruise in, I would just look into used kayaks on Craigslist or elsewhere. You can find them for a fraction of the cost and usually come with more equipment than buying new (e.g. life vests, paddles, etc. since people want to just get rid of everything related one time).
