Looking for ideas and maybe pictures of possible ways to attach TWO kayaks to some sort of racks on roof of double cab that has nothing up there currently. - no rails - nothing.
I know I could search the web but realize what a wealth of information this site is with true to life trials and experiences.
Thanks for anything you can offer up !

Yakima or Thule, can't beat them.
    They are the strongest available.

Can you use your bed at all? The Thule xsporter's are pretty nice for hauling two yaks but it you are doing two just on roof racks you will probably want these (Thule 834 Hull-a-Port)IMG_1651.jpg

I even HAVE Hulla-Ports we were going to use on top of our Sienna - new in box. I have a Leer cap on bed - with little racks but not that good - so I would need a way to attach the Hulla Ports to roof - and have them still be up there when I get to Maine this summer !

Are you taking the cap off?
I would just get the baseplates for the rack you have so you can switch between the cab and cap.

Do the tires not rub the mudflaps? I have some 265/75/16 highway tires, and am looking for mudflaps for the front, yet there may not be enough space for them not to rub when the wheels are turned.

And if you end up getting rid of your mudflaps I'd be interested.

can you put a better rack on the cap? Probably the best option, easier to load and unload when on the cap.

This is a great idea. I will look into that as it will be easy to bolt on and everything. Thanks

I built one of these...Too hard for me to get 90 lbs up on the rack by myself.

However I have to think of something. I just bought a camper so there goes the trailer idea. They make a few devices to help....

Just installed my racks this weekend. The front does sit slightly lower than the rear. Pulling a camper so I needed then more forward than just on the cap.
