Just got a '21 TRD PRO with the factory roof rack and my goal is to be able to carry 6 kayaks (creekers and playboats), 6 paddles, and all the associated PFDs, helmets, spray skirts, river shoes, beer cooler, etc.

I'm thinking about getting Billie Bars, Molle Panels, and a Pace Edwards Switchblade tonneau. The idea being I could put 2 kayaks on the roof, 4 on the Billie Bars, paddles attached to the molle panels and gear under the tonneau.

Anyone have any suggestions or other ways to do it, other bars or tonneaus that might work better together?

Also, anyone have any ideas about paddle holders that work with molle panels? Or Kayaks stackers that work with T-slots?

Be sure to make sure the factory roof rack can support the weight of your kayaks, including any J-hook if you use one. I have 10ft kayaks, and the factory rack is not rated to hold the weight of my yaks. I think it’s only rated for about 100lbs, or at least it used to be.

A trailer would be an option but I'm trying to limit how much space I take up at the take outs where I kayak.

FBAA6A8A-46FF-41F0-96E4-DBF96FA11A25.jpg I recommend a ladder rack from Thule, Yakima, Rola, etc or a cap with rack. For long trips You can easily stack 6 kayaks on either and throw everything else in the bed. The pic is from my 2012 Access Cab. Short shuttle on a private road with 9 boats and 9 people. Don’t get fancy. For most shuttles you’re just going to put as many boats and gear as possible in the bed and put the remaining boats on the racks. Enjoy the new ride and happy paddling! 01196E17-D3B8-4381-B951-1D93227C0772.jpg

You can get a double cradle with an additional J hook set on a prinsu cab rack carrying three, and two in the bed comfortably. (I've got a long bed) I don't see why a sixth would be difficult.

I had a 6x10 flatbed trailer I recently sold. I added a Malone rack to that and haul a bunch of kayaks and gear or anything for that matter. Plate sticker went from $18 to $150 this year otherwise I would have kept it. I have a 16’ johnboat on a trailer that I have also used for tossing yaks into.

Ladder rack. Three on top, three in the bed.
