How easy is it to move the brackets fore/aft after install? Do the cleats play nice and slide in unison or is it fiddly- jerky an inch at a time right to left side? I think they'd work good for paddleboards but I'd need to push them to the cab when using my kayaks.

They move pretty easy. You can go about 10" on one side, then walk to the other side and move another 10", then back to the other side, etc..

If you're hauling kayaks and paddle boards, you might be more interested in the heavy duty version.

KB VooDoo Bed Bracket + Yakima spare parts = Rear bike tire support
My tailgate wouldn't close using my RockyMounts Driveshaft bike front axle mount on the front-most bedrail. This is a problem for carrying bike gear/camping equipment obviously.

I saw KB VooDoo's custom bed brackets that attach to the OEM cleats. Combined with some spare parts from Yakima:

    Yakima Boa wheel tray
    [IMG]

    Yakima Strap
    [IMG]

    Yakima Hex-nuts
    [IMG]

I had to get some additional polypro spacer stock, and cut it to about 3/4", from McMaster to act as a standoff so that the Yakima wing-nuts wouldn't interfere with KB VooDoo's bracket. Also had to cut about 7 pawls off of each side of the Yakima strap for the same reason. Ultimately it came out just the way I wanted and it's solid as a rock!

These are made for mountain bikes, ski rackets, cargo baskets, etc...

For RTT's, you would want these.

Just placed my order on your site. Great site, BTW! Love how it autofills the address info from Google when you start typing it in for shipping/billing.

Same here in Mass, anyone looking for basically a new pair let me know. Here they are on my truck. Maybe we can make a deal on the bed bars, fork and rear tire mount, and front wheel mount. Let me know

The HD bars can handle a single point load of 400 lbs right in the center. They can hold anything you can think of.

The XRXS can hold at least 250 lbs right in the center.

I wouldn't go over 100 lbs on the standard cross bar.
