    Glad you like the HD's!!!

Regarding the cleats, they are stronger than most people think. More than strong enough for an RTT.

Has anyone tried connecting a kayak carrier on these and used these to transport kayaks?

I would recommend our HD bars, or the XRXS for kayaks.

I'd love to see what you come up with ChadsPride. I'm hoping a set of these HD ones or the XRXS would allow me to attach 4 kayak carriers (for 2 kayaks). Would be alot easier to load and unload then up on the roof-rack. I'll have to do some measuring this spring to see how this would all fit.

Our bed rack is actually the best way to carry kayaks.

My fiance is 5ft tall, that's why I'm trying to figure out a different avenue to load our kayaks. She can't reach the top of my cab, was hoping I could make these bars work so she could load and unload herself if she goes w/o me. Looks like a nice bed rack though!

Looking FWD to what you come up with ChadsPride! :)

In that case, our HD bars, plus some Amazon kayak racks are what you need.

I've already got some Yakima BowDown Kayak Racks. Pretty sure these will attach to your HD bars. I'll get the measurements and test fitting figured out in the spring and I'll be hitting you up. Thanks man!

I was looking at your XRXS ones as a possible solution for securing a 100 lb. propane tank upright for transport. I would two pieces of angle iron or something to go between two supports to "capture" the tank in an upright position, supplemented with tie downs. (For safety and legal reasons, they have to be transported upright, although I know some people skirt this rule.) I know that it wouldn't secure the tank in a major collision, but not much would! While I was looking at your site, I thought of a possible accessory for those who are using your crossbars who want to haul something on them and keeping it from sliding:

These have what looks like a 1/4" threaded hole in the bottom. With the right size bolt from the bottom you could secure them to the crossbars and put your item on them and tie it down. They would also be good for hauling things that you don't want rubbed or scraped. Rockler Bench Cookies

Hey Chad, I noticed a promo code for the regular crossbars, do you have one for the XRXS ones, maybe?... :D

Sorry, no promo code for the XRXS. The profit margin is a little slim on those.

These are for bikes, and ski racks.

If you want to carry something heavier, we have bars for that as well.
