Hi I have 09 dbl cab long bed, Had to remove my leer shell with Yakima cargo box to put a transfer tank in the bed. Im just wondering how I would mount the Yakima skybox to the bedrack since the cross bars are so far apart. Would I need to purchase the Yakima rails attach those to the side rails and use my Yakima racks off the camper shell or is there another alternative? It sat a little high over the truck with the camper and Yakima racks and I was trying to find a bed rack that the box would mount directly to. Let me know, I'm ready to buy when I find one that will work.

Yes, i saw that....but those are lengthwise and the box clamps to the widthwise cross bars like the regular Yakima rack system...the bars on this rack are too far apart to clamp to. Probably just take my Yakima racks off the camper shell and attach them to this rack, need cross bars just above the cab anyway for my longboards and sup...

    just a few things.
You can just turn the rack 180 and mount it. I did it that way.

Will the tonneau cover brackets work on a Bakflip cover? I ask because the Bakflip looks more low profile than OEM. Thanks in advance

Does that cover relocate the accessory rails?

This is how our brackets attach.

At some point I'll have to make a bracket for those damn Bakflips. They certainly are popular.

Actually, I just designed it in my head.

It drops 1", we got that.

What is the inside width of the accessory rail with the relocation?

Can you post a couple pics?

    Wow that was quick.

Well I don't have one yet. I was looking at one on craiglist and then planning to buy the rack. Sorry

Just went and looked at the Yakima rack mounts on my shell, looks like I can just bolt the feet right onto the lengthwise cross bars...so problem solved and I'll have enough space for the cargo box and surfboards...also just put the order in for the racks with Voodoo, having set of kings built as well...so pretty stoked for the new setup!

The new rack is made from 40% thicker material, and comes with stainless hardware.

But the big difference is that is has adjustable width, so it fits all trucks.

For most Tacoma owners, it's overkill. We made the new rack to target the full size crowd.
