Never posted pics of my kbvoodoo rack since I got it but I love this thing! I mostly use it to carry kayaks and my bike. I’m so happy the kayaks are on this rack rather than 5+ feet out the back of the bed. The rack went together really easy and is super sturdy. The only problem I’ve had with it is the powder coating. There’s some spots that are really bubbly that you can see from over 15 feet away. It looks like the metal wasn’t completely clean when the rack was painted. @KB Voodoo is there anything that can be done to remedy this?1EB0E9C6-2BEB-42C3-A768-0F4ABE1397C8.jpg 6356CCAF-B648-473A-A319-CFE48E9E298A.jpg F48741BA-51F9-4E56-B593-4EA75D6A0828.jpg 211712E9-1860-4C70-9D11-B56C0108D083.jpg

What tonneau cover have you testes to be used with the bed rack? It would be on a short bed 2014 taco. Does it sacrifice maximum load ratings?

Most covers work, as long as they do not relocate the factory accessory rail.

    No strength is sacrificed.

This is what our tonneau brackets look like. They need to fit under the cover.

That looks really good! It appears to be adjustable, just what a lot of people want out of theses racks. Can't wait to see the specs on it.

Hey, I am looking at getting a mid-height rack as well and wanted to know how the awning mount went for you? Any pictures?

Hey, could I see some picture of how you have your bike mounted onto the rack? Thanks.

It’s the mount @KB Voodoo offers for his rack with a standard sun lite fork mount.

Thanks! I got the full height for the kayaks and because I like the functionality. With the tall rack I can actually crouch under the rack while I’m in the bed. I feel with the mid you couldn’t get in the bed hardly at all. Also my golden retriever is back there a lot and he would probably feel trapped. With the tall he can stick his head out under the side supports.

You have pretty good clearance for the kayaks? Also I am looking to mount my awning to it.

Oh definitely. Ours are 10’ kayaks that stick halfway over the cab and there’s several inches of clearance. If you have an awning I’d go for the tall. You could mount an awning to a mid but it would be really short on the truck side.
