    Roger that. I'd be afraid of tools rusting or my camping gear getting wet while traveling in the rain.

    Agreed. Depending on the construction of the box though, applying some sealant to bolt holes and upgrading any seals is likely to do well

    That’s awesome! I have the old school KB Voodoo midheight long bed rack with Voodoo logo on the back from 2017. Any chance this would work?

    It's very weather resistant as-is, so it wouldn't talk much to seal it up.

    Works with all Max Modular TACO Max, STEEL Max, ALUMAX, and GLADIATOR Max bed racks.

    The old KB Voodoo racks are a no go.

    Just curiously, how easy is uninstall for a rack? I want to put one on, but I also know that, at some point in the next 12 months, I'll need my bed for hauling dirt, gravel, and sand

    Just ordered one of these for my 10” rack. Great idea. Hoping I can fit my Viair compressor and some recovery gear for easy access.
    @KB Voodoo
    It’s gonna go on the side of the rack that has the MaxMod bike carrier. This means that the rear wheel tray will lose its position on the accessory bar. Do you think I could drill holes and mount the rear wheel holder on the cargo box door? I don’t want to ruin the box.

    On my first KBVOODOO rack I made a box with a Red LED strip light in it. And attached it from the top of the rack by two holes if I remember correctly. At first I tried to use some form of plastic and by heating and bending making the box. Didn’t work very well so I ended up using sheet metal and after a few tries of different folds and pinch welds I had a box that was form fitted to the rack. It was a nice touch. You can run your wires to the trailer harness or to the brake lights.

    edit* I also used reflective tape inside the box and drilled two drain holes because it was not sealed

At first I tried to use some form of plastic and by heating and bending making the box. Didn’t work very well so I ended up using thin sheet metal and after a few tries of different folds and pinch welds I had a box that was form fitted to the rack. It was a nice touch. This is my new rack. I wasn’t as motivated as I was last time so I filled the already there holes with LEDS as my 3rd brake light.

    I really like the look of the first one, that's what I was going for, the cops in my area can be real sticklers for little things like the 3rd brake light being covered, tint and so on, I have enough time and money invested in my mods I really don't want a vehicle inspection for something silly like this, wiring isn't an issue I was more curious bout how people have made the box or what not.

    Thanks for info!
