    My Go FSR tent was not compatible the second way. I wanted it to open towards the passenger side. I had to drill a couple holes to make it work. It was off by like 1/4-1/2 an inch. When mounted according to the instructions from gofsr it was opening towards the rear.

    Yea, mine is off by about a half inch if I do it that way. I don’t really want to drill holes in the tent yet, so I’m just going to do it the first way and see how it goes.

    Adjust the brackets to get it as close as you can and drill the rack. I wouldn’t mess the tent up and drill that. I don’t think it’s any weaker.

    Yeah absolutely. Depends on how much bed rail you have. Since I used the stock tonneau cover. The bars the cover hooks on to impede how much bed rail I can use. I have to send you pictures. But if you don’t use the cover you can set it where ever you want.

    Do you have any pics of a longbed with a short rack... 14 high vs 18 high using the tonneau brackets. I looked on the site and didn't see a short rack on a longbed

    I just swapped my backflip out for a retrax and debating on height and length.
