These will clamp right to our bars: https://www.amazon.com/TMS-J-Bar-Ca...ywords=tms+kayak+cradle&qid=1578324892&sr=8-3

But, the Hi Rise Crossbars are not a good way to carry a kayak. Becuase of the length of the boat, it's better to carry them up high so they can extend over the cab.

This is a much better option: https://www.max-modular.com/shop-max-modular/max-modular-18-high-toyota-tacoma-bed-rack

Well, the issue with the large bed rack is that it doesn't allow me to carry a RTT and a kayak simultaneously over the bed. The kayak setup I previously suggested would only be temporary on the high rise bars. Eventually, my plan would be to use the KB Voodoo high rise bars with a roof top tent, keeping it very close to the top of the Diamondback cover. Then I would use Diamondback's "Cover Mount Rack" (although ugly...) on each side of the cover which would be on each side of the RTT. The kayak would be mounted on top of the count mount racks. Then when at camp site the kayak would obviously have to come off before the RTT could be deployed but I believe with this setup there would be enough clearance for the RTT to deploy when kayak is dismounted.

I'm still toying with ideas but my main goal is to find a way to haul a RTT, kayak, and avoid drilling holes into the roof of the truck. I'd like to have both hauled on the bed.

Why are you drilling holes in your roof? They're already there.

Yeah, maybe I should have been more clear. I'm aware it has factory holes for many mounts like the Prinsu and Frontrunner racks. If I were to buy a roof rack it would be one utilizing factory holes so I don't have to drill. As for now I definitely don't need the extra cargo space for a roof rack which is why I wanted to keep everything bed side. Plus, I'm sure a kayak would be okay but I can't find weight ratings for a lot of these roof racks. I think it would probably just be easiest/most secure to haul it bed side, plus I can just stand on top of my Diamondback cover to work on tie downs instead of crawling on the roof. Trick is finding the right combo to haul both RTT & kayak bed side.

Just looking for anyone who may have installed these Crossbars with a Roll N Lock tonneau cover? I've attached a couple pictures of the cover. Just curious as to how much work I'd be getting myself into and what sort of modifications I'd have to make.

    Thanks!

What size of screw can fit through the holes in the middle of the cross bar? I'd like to potentially mount a Yakima HD bar to the top of the KB Voodoo crossbar to be able to take full advantage of the Yakima accessories easily. I think this could be pretty easily done. I'd need to find the hardware like bolt plate and screws, hopefully directory from Yakima, like used to attach HD bar to their Overhaul HD:

    https://youtu.be/438uUDaF1G0?t=398

But you would just need some bolt plates to slide in the t-slot of the HD bar which would then be secured to the KB Voodoo crossbar. Right now I'm trying to find out 2 things:

    - If I can get the bolt plates and screws from Yakima which would fit the HD bar separately from the Overhaul HD
    - What size of screw can fit through the slots in the KB Voodoo crossbar so I could ensure compatibility with hardware used to secure the HD bar

    Any ideas regarding this?

The slots in the hardware are 5/16" wide, so you can fit 1/4" or 6mm screws in them.

I always use 1/4"-20 screws when I mount fork mounts and our tire trays to them.

I’ve been thinking about doing this same thing. Have the Longarm for when I put my big boat in the bed but am looking to mount 2 smaller boats above my Diamondback. Another option I thought of was using 2 bed bars and attaching a couple lengths of unistrut to them to mount the Yakima racks to unstead of using the Longarm.

Late post, but I have the crossbars installed with my Truxedo Low Pro QT. Because the brackets are so thick, the tonneau cover rails are pushed inward making closing the cover a tight fit; but it works. This also creates a gap between the bed rail and tonneau cover rail, which was solved by running weather stripping in the gap. I took a dremel to the plastic caps on both sides on the end of the cover where it clips in to the tonneau cover rail to alleviate some of the tightness. Shaving off just 1/16th of an inch made a huge difference. I've come across a number of posts asking about the Truxedo roll up covers, so I thought I'd share my experience.

Looking to put a 23Zero RTT on it, any potential issues?

Also, what kind of timeline are we looking for shipping to BC, Canada?

    Thanks!
