    The brackets definitely help the 10 inch rack with visibility. If you want to be able to easily take the rack on and off, definitely go with the max modular system.

    Ok great. Does the 14" with the tonneau brackets end up around cab height? Think with a Kayak would go up over the cab if on top?

    With the brackets, it is 16.5 inches tall. That's a little bit below the cab height, but you can absolutely use it to carry kayaks. I'm in the woods right now, but when I get back I will post some pictures of a 14 inch rack with kayaks on it so you can see.

    Thank you this has been very helpful! I think the 14" with the tonneau brackets will work perfect for what I want. Will it accept a cargo trey under it? I would love to have a tonneau on there and then use the space above and below the rack.

    I have an older kb voodoo cab height rack. some of the bolts are getting rusted. i tried tightening a couple bolts yesterday when i put it on for the summer and a couple snapped.

    im gonna head to ace hardware today to see if they have any replacement bolts and nuts. is there anything specific i should be looking for? just stainless steel to hopefully prevent rust?

    i didnt find any hardware on the kbvoodoo site.
